Owning the HD versiob of the Android version, it's good to see one of my favourite endless runners that started as a humble flash game get an HD port to Steam as well! Canabalt is still as addictive the day it came out, and just as perilous and frustrating, too.. A game that is as much about watching yourself as it is about avoiding obstacles. Heavily recommended if you can muster the attention span necessary for longer runs.. This was the first mobile game I ever played. It basically invented the (now cloned to death) "endless runner". I saw this on Steam and was pleasantly surprised! This is a fantastic port. Nothing fundamentally new was added. However, the frame rate is silky smooth, key re-binding and mouse support has been built in (more than you can say for most mobile ports), crisp and clean 1080p graphics, achievements, leaderboards, and even trading cards and backgrounds! The soundtrack by "Danny Baranowsky" is a perfect mix of psuedo-retro adrenaline pumping beeps and boops. Well its an unlimited running game, what do you expect. But, what i like about this game is there are levels\/world that you can complete it, not just that, they also have an option to play the game in 3D\/2D. The style, the sound, the simplicity, it all adds to this games charm.Run Forrest, Run!. Excellent game simple and addictive.. Fun and addictive. This is the that started the "Endless runner" genre. It is an original classic. 2 player is also great fun and makes you want to murder your friend <3
