About This Game Mass Exodus is a local multiplayer game developed from the ground up for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PC. One VR player assumes the role of the seeker. The seeker is a large, sinister robot in control of the factory. He knows there are rogue androids amid his facility and his mission is to find and destroy them.The PC players take the role of the rouge androids. The only way to escape the seeker is to switch off the control panels located around the factory and shut the facility down. This is a pickup and play game that will keep you and your friends on the edge of your seats. There are 3 extensive maps each with a different theme and features. Both roles have access to creative power-ups, that if used cleverly can completely change the game advantage. We just got through with an hour of this 5-player and everyone had a blast. The game is great but not without faults. With a GTX 1070 and i5 6600k I took the settings down to "Low" to make sure the VR player had enough performance.My setup is that the VR is one room and I'm using a (ethernet-wired) Steam Link in a separate room hooked up to the TV. The trick was to make sure all of the controllers were plugged in to the Steam Link before connecting the Steam Link to the PC. After that we were successfully able to get all 4 drone players in and playing on the TV. (For anyone wondering, the trick to getting sound on both the TV and the Vive is to go into your SteamVR settings and set your PC speakers to primary and mirror audio to the HTC-Vive)The game is a little dark, but thankfully there is a brightness setting. The darkness does add to the tension when the overseer's flashlight eyes shine on you, but too dark and it becomes impossible to navigate the level.There aren't a lot of great "party" style VR games but this was definitely one worth buying for me. Everyone had fun taking turns in the VR and after we were done (it was getting late) everyone still wanted to play some more.The three maps are different enough to spice up the gameplay, and there are some match customization settings. I feel like 1 or 2 more maps and possible a new game play mode would easily make this a $15-$20 game.. A clever concept that I'd like to recommend, but ultimately there's just no replayability. I've played 4 or 5 rounds total and that's it. No interest in playing any more which is a shame.. Really awesome concept, and really fun game! However, needs support for controllers (I.E. xbox controller).. Great asymmetrical multiplayer game, the powers really add a lot over the old demo. Would love some more maps, maybe open mod tools to the community?
